Today is Sally Russick's One Crayon Color Challenge Blog Hop! If you haven't already figured it out, I chose Purple as my color. Why? Who knows! I like purple, certainly. I wouldn't say it was my favorite color. But it's a very popular color and I guess I just wanted to work with it! So here it is - my necklace using one color - Purple!
Here is an explanation of the meaning of Purple, as given by Crystal Cure - "Purple is the color of good judgment. It is the color of people seeking spiritual fulfillment. It is said if you surround yourself with purple you will have peace of mind. Purple is a good color to use in meditation.
Purple has been used to symbolize magic and mystery, as well as royalty. Being the combination of red and blue, the warmest and coolest colors, purple is believed to be the ideal color. Most children love the color purple. Purple is the color most favored by artists. Thursday's color is purple.
Violet is the color of purpose. Violet is associated with the Crown chakra (This links individual and universal)."
I made the heart pendant using Japanese washi paper and Amazing Glaze. The chain is a cool purple chain from JoAnn's. I used swarovski crystals, czech faceted glass beads, my own lampwork beads and my own fluted enameled bead caps. I hope you've enjoyed looking at my creation! Here's a list of all the participants - if you get a chance, please stop by and see what everyone else made!

Your purple is beautiful. I love the cluster of beads framing the heart pendant. I have noticed these papers being mentioned quite a bit in my blog reading. I enjoyed your information on purple too!
